The name “rooibos” translated means “red bush” and gets its name from the red colour the needle shaped plant goes, when it falls off the bush and oxidises in the sun.

Try this truly tasty tea creation:

Rooibos Vanilla Cream

  • 2 Julius Meinl “Rooibos Orange Cream” leaf bags
  • 150 ml of boiling water
  • 1 heaped teaspoon of vanilla sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons of cream
  • Milk foam

Pour fresh boiling water over the tea and let it steep for 6 minutes. In the meantime prepare milk foam. Pour the infusion into a bowl or cocktail shaker, and add the vanilla sugar and cream. Stir. Prepare a glass with milk foam. Then carefully add the brewed tea. You can decorate the cocktail with cinnamon powder, brown sugar or grated chocolate.
